YOU MADE A MOVIE! NOW WHAT?!

Join fellow filmmakers, film distributors, and movie lovers for an intimate, candid discussion about how films are being distributed--the models, the challenges, and new ideas about how to navigate it all. This discussion is open to the public and will be a true roundtable, where all are invited to participate openly (and of course, respectfully).

The second portion of our roundtable discussion will be open to filmmakers only, to dig deeper into recent experiences with distribution. The goal is to share and suggest distribution ideas and actualities. We believe that by sharing information and insights as much as possible, we can all benefit! Distribution is often a black hole with respect to what happens once a movie is acquired. Filmmakers will have an open forum to discuss their experiences about distribution.

Further topics will discuss why certain films are acquired and others are not, talk about experiences getting financing, and try to come up with a best practices approach to sales and distribution. Time permitting, we can discuss navigating the festival circuit.
